Lync 2013 client replaces spaces with UTF-8 NBSP characters RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

A couple of folks in our department have been testing our our new Office 365 deployment, and are running into problems where the new Lync 2013 client that's installed with the O365 Pro Plus download replaces spaces with UTF-8 NBSP characters. This causes us a lot of headaches when we try to pass code around, because the programs don't know how to handle the characters.

I've done a fair bit of Googling on this with others reporting the same issue, but haven't found any answers.

Also, the other suggestions on the forum to use the site to submit the bug don't seem appropriate, as Lync isn't included in the list of products accepting bugs.

How can we go about getting this to revert to the Lync 2010 functionality?
