Federation issues when enabling TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are still on Lync Server 2013. One of our federated partners turned off support for TLSv1.0, which has broken communication with us. If we enable TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2 will communication be fixed between us?

    Thanks,

    Mitch

  • Hi Mitch,

You could enable the TLS 1.2 and patch the Lync 2013 server’s latest CU,because this link says “Windows Fabric 1.0 does not support TLS 1.2.  However, we will be updating Lync Server 2013 to work with TLS 1.2. This will be coming in the next Cumulative Update for Lync Server 2013.  We're providing TLS 1.2 support to enable co-existence, migration, Federation and Hybrid scenarios.”

    Lync server’s latest CU.
