Skype for Business won't close conference presentation

    Question

  • Please forgive me if this question has been asked elsewhere but I have been having users report on our new rollout of using Skype4B meetings for our presentations that sometimes when they go to exit the presentation when the meeting has ended it won't close. It has also happened to me and I can't seem to get it to end without killing Skype4B in task manager.  Has anyone else encountered this issue?  Maybe there's a patch I need to apply to the clients?

  • Hi yelling,

Welcome to post in our forum.

Please help us confirm the following questions:
    1. Did you encounter the same issue with Lync 2013?
    2. What’s you SFB version, is that with the latest update?

For troubleshooting this issue, please try the following steps:
    1. Install the latest update for your SFB client and test again.
    2. On one computer, please try to perform a clean boot: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

Moreover, you could also contact Cisco and confirm with them if there is a compatibility issues.

    Regards,

    Alice Wang

  • Thanks for your reply.

    1.  We just started using S4B meetings so I am not sure if it happened in Lync 2013 as we weren't using it.

    2. We are running Skype for Business server 2015 with almost all clients either on Skype for Business 2015 or 2016.

I will try and update to the latest version as I didn't have the March 2017 update installed yet otherwise though all clients are up to date that have the issue.

I'll report that once I have that update pushed out.

Cisco doesn't have anything to do with this I shouldn't have used WebEx in my terminology.  These are simply Skype for Business meetings.

  • It does, I have seen it happen on mine (Skype for Business 2016) and another PC (Skype for business 2015).  We are still in the initial testing stages and its been pretty much IT only using the meeting and dial in functionality so far. I will update once I get some more testing in since clients have been updated.

  • Hi yelling,

Did you install the latest update for your Skype for business?

    Is that the same issue?

  • I have, and I haven't seen the same issue occur yet but I don't think there have been many conference calls so far.  I have asked my test group to update me on any issues and I haven't seen the issue again myself personally.  I'll update this ticket once I confirm whether updates fixed the issue or not.  I should have an answer in a day or two but we will see.  Thanks for the reply and to confirm this is the same issue I talked about when I opened this issue.
