Unable to save Excel 2007

    Question

  • Only have issues with 2007 Excel, Word and Powerpoint save fine. Tried reinstalling and "repair" options from original software DVD. If I try to save Excel file, if I try to save Excel file from jump drive, if I email Excel file from another PC...results ALWAYS the same. All attempts at saving Excel convert to internet explorer file.

  • Hi,

Do you mean the default file format for saving workbooks in Excel 2007 is the Internet explorer file? Please check the file format for the saved Excel file. If the file format is wrong, please check the following settings in Excel 2007:

    1. Click the Microsoft Office Button Office button image, and then click Excel Options.

    2. In the Save category, under Save Workbooks, in the Save files in this format list, make sure the file format is set to Excel Workbooks (.xlsx).

    3. Click OK to save the settings.

    Regards,
