Getting a error when Lync autostarts (2010) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I get an error when I log into my PC and Lync autostarts, saying the program can't run because of a missing file RtmMvrAs.dll

After I close the error message, I can launch Lync 2010 normally and it works...

I have tried reinstalling and applied the latest CU from March 2013.

  • This is not the answer.. I have no bluetooth adaptor or utility on the computer.

I have reinstalled a couple of times now and done some windows updates, I think there was an April 2013 hotfix amoung the Windows updates which was not available on the website. I recommend people with a similar issue apply the latest update/hotfix from the Lync technet website.

  • Hi I have this issue too, after some MS updates, even though I uninstalled lync 2013 around a month ago. I've tried reinstalling which fails due to a mix of 64 bit and 32 bit office apps and components, and applying the patch which says that Lync is not installed so fails.

So I hope this error just goes away in a while as windows updates.

Looking forward to 8.1, which hopefully means I can rebuild my lap top on this, at the moment I've stuck with windows 7
