Disable OCS/Lync integration in CRM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, is there a way to NOT have the OCS functionality be embedded within Microsoft CRM? Its nice that it thinks it should be loaded everywhere possible but in this particular instance it is a big deal that it NOT be within CRM. Thanks in advance!!

  • If you are talking about the Click to Call functionality in the Lync client for Internet Explorer you can disable this by disabling the Lync Add-in in Internet Explorer.

  • We are looking to turn this feature off across the enterprise. Is there a powershell command that we can run on the lync backend, or a GPO to disables this specific feature.

  • The reg key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Communicator\EnableBHOSmartTags

This turns on the number detection in IE.
