SharePoint 2013 workflow is not working when FBA configured on site. RRS feed

  • Greetings!

    SharePoint 2013 workflows are working fine if site is having Windows authentication.

    When I configured FBA (Form based authentication) for the site then SP2013 workflows are not working.

    Workflow automatically went to suspended state with following error :

    HTTP Unauthorized to http://server/_vti_bin/client.svc/sp.utilities.utility.ResolvePrincipalInCurrentcontext(input=@ParamUser,scopes='15',sources='15',inputIsEmailOnly='false',addToUserInfoList='False')?%40ParamUser='i%3A0%23.f%7Cadmembers%7Cfbauser1'

    SharePoint 2010 workflows are working fine in the same FBA site.

    I have tried following things still no luck :

    1.        Checked my User profile service, which is running perfectly fine and it contains all fba users with their properties.
    2.        Got this blog - http://sergeluca.wordpress.com/2013/03/26/sharepoint-2013-issue-with-the-new-start-a-task-process-and-how-to-fix-it-with-an-app-step/

    which is similar to my error, tried same steps in my workflow still no luck.

    Please suggest some solution for this.

  • It's nothing at all to do with UPS, it's totally unconnected. This is an authentication issue, it can't work out who a user is, in this case an AD user.

    At a guess something is trying to use or reference that user and can't resolve it for some reason.

  • Is anything needs to be configured in workflow manager for FBA? So that workflow manager can authorize FBA users?
