MS Lync causes out look to stop updating RRS feed

  • Question

  • MS Lync version 4.0.7577.4388 Appears to cause outlook 2010 on occasions to stop updating the inbox with new messages.  If you have Lync open and try to open outlook it will not launch until you kill the process communicator.exe

Does anybody have any idea of a fix or come across this before?

    Many Thanks

  • Hi Svitney,

Can you confirm that you have all the latest updates for Outlook/Office 2010 and Lync 2010?

Are you running any other add-ins for the Lync or Outlook client?

  • Try the following steps.

    1. Try to delete the Outlook profile and recreated it from scratch.
    2. Repair outlook 2010 and Lync 2010 in appwiz.cpl.
    3. Reinstall Lync 2010 and Outlook 2010.
