  • An error occurred: "System.InvalidOperationException" "Cannot open Service Control Manager on computer computer.contoso.local. This operation might require other privileges

    Server 2016, Skype for business 2015. First Skype server on network.

    Edit: Pool FQDN needs to be the server_name.domain.local

    The cause was a config error. I had pool.domain.local instead of server_name.domain.local as the pool FQDN.

    What is your edition of Skype for Business, Standard or Enterprise?

    What changes do you do before publishing Topology?

    In order to narrow down the issue, please providing a screenshot about this error details as below. Please note to cover the private information.

    According to the error messages, it is recommended you make sure that the account was added in the two groups CSAdministrator and RTCUniversalAdmin.
