Disallow users from shutting down Skype RRS feed

  • Question

  • Anyone know if there is a way to enforce this? Doesn't look like this is something that can be done with the current ADMX available? Management is want to make sure users are available for chat.

  • Hi mattrd75,

Your idea is great. However, I did not find related method about this.

In fact, the app can run in the background unless you click the Exit button.

About the Skype for Business Advanced ADMX Template, it includes the following (it is no stopping users to quit Skype for Business client):

    1. Automatically add Windows Firewall rules to the client workstation when Skype for Business client starts

    2. Disable the first-run introduction video

    3. Set the Skype for Business client as the default IM Provider on the workstation

    4. Force the Skype for Business client to start when the user logs in

    5. Disable the conversation preservation state

    6. Change the default logging directory to a custom location

    7. Enable Windows Event logging

    8. Disable IM Spell Checking

    9. Disable the use of Emoticons
