Can't map to OneDrive RRS feed

  • Question

  • (not sure if this is the right forum category, but couldn't find one for OneDrive

I'm trying to map a network drive from a hosted server to my OneDrive account.  It works fine from my local machine (Windows 7), but I can't get it to work from the server (Server 2008 R2 DataCenter).   I tried the same connection string in the Map Network Drive dialog:

    \\docs.live.net@SSL\<cid>\

    The error I'm getting is:

    Windows cannot access xxxx

Any help appreciated.  Can't figure this one out.
    Thanks in advance.

  • It requires Web Client service, so you need to have the Desktop Experience feature installed. If it's installed and still not working, check this article for general troubleshooting: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2616712

  • If have seen the guidance at http://support2.microsoft.com/?id=943280 also working for Win2008r2.
Please try to add the required registry keys, the hotfix is probably already installed with windows updates.

but wait, you are mentioning OneDrive for consumers, I am not familiar with adding these drives to your servers/desktop.

    Kind regards, Joran
