  • Can you see any issue in installing AD Connect on an exchange server in Azure. The exchange server being used purely for attributes?

  • In that blog, there is no technical reason to stop you but there are other reasons that suggest to install AAD connect on a different server. Although there is no known issue, it's suggested to do so to prevent unpredictable issues or inconvenience in future.

  • Should be OK, just make sure the VM is sized properly to handle the load of both.

    Do you mean you want to know if Azure AD connect can be installed on Exchange server?

    In general, it's suggested to install Azure AD connect on a server different than Exchange server. This blog gives some reasons about not to install AAD connect on Exchange: Installing Azure AD Connect on an Exchange Server.
