  • Question

  • Hi  there

After migration from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online, user pictures for some users are missing in site permissions page. Any thoughts on how to fix this please? (Users are valid SharePoint users).

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

User profile picture synchronization process in Office 365 is different from that in SharePoint on-premise, it is better you update the user profile pictures after the migration.

Please check as following for basic troubleshooting:

    1. Enter the users' My Profile pages by clicking their usernames and check if you can see the pictures in their profiles. If the profile pictures are not well displayed, upload and update them again via Microsoft 365 admin center > Users.

    2. Display user profile pictures in another page and see if they can display normally. Create a people picker column (pictures only) in a custom list and switch to classic experience or add a People Web Part in a site page and see the result.

Please refer to the links below for more information.

View and update your profile in Office Delve.
