  • Hi,

If I sign up for the hosted mail service can I route all email through a corporate IP address for Delivery, archiving, etc....  So it is basically smarthost or connector functionality

  • Andrew,

If you are using Exchange 2000 or later and you establish e-mail coexistence between Microsoft Online and your existing Exchange e-mail system, your incoming e-mail will be routed through your corporate IP address. If you have migrated user mailboxes to Microsoft Online, mail addressed to those mailboxes will be forwarded from your existing e-mail system to the Microsoft Online mailboxes.

NOTE: E-mail sent between users whose mailboxes have been migrated to Microsoft Online will not go through your corporate IP address. E-mail sent from your Microsoft Online mailboxes to mailboxes outside of your organization will not go through your corporate IP address.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for your interest in Microsoft Online.
