Windows 7 'Welcome' screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'd like to make the Windows 7 'welcome' and 'logging off' desktop background/wallpaper (with the dove and olive branch) my default desktop background.

Is that possible?  How?  If not, please make it available in Control Panel!!

    Hi

The image file is named Background.bmp and is located in

    C:\Windows\System32\oobe folder.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to that location. Right click the Background.bmp file and select the Set As Desktop Background option.

If you want to add this image to your Wallpapers folder, right click the file and select Copy.

Navigate to the C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper folder and Paste the image into one of the sub-folders.

    Hope this helps.

Thank You for using Windows 7
