Sync-Generic-failure error in AAD Connect

  • Good day!

    Has anyone encountered this issue? Errors in Azure AD Connect delta synchronization.

    Will this work even if Password Write back is not enabled?

    Are you at the latest version of AADConnect? You should be.

    Does the contact somehow exist now in Azure? If so, remove it and sync again.

    They are not yet in the latest version. We are troubleshooting the issue prior the upgrade. Or do you recommend upgrading it first?

    I would always upgrade to the latest, yes. The upgrade will kick off a full sync.

    We are only encountering it for external contacts. The contact does not exist in Azure.

    Have you tried upgrading the AADConnect to the latest? Does it help?
