OneDrive ModernUI shows blank page after installation of Feature Pack 1 in SharePoint 2016 RRS feed

  • Frage

  • Hi everybody,

    I experienced a strange behavior after the installation of feature pack 1 for SP 2016. When I try to open OneDrive for Business the page only shows a blank page. With the IE DEV Tools I figured out that an script error occured while processing the file "odsp-next/controls/oneDriveApp/OneDriveAp.resx"

    After a little experimenting I figured out that OneDrive works fine when I set the UI to the old version via script:

    $Farm = Get-SPFarm
    $Farm.OneDriveUserExperienceVersion = [Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.OneDriveUserExperienceVersion]::Version1
    $Farm.Update()

    The only information I found so far is a blog where the same issue was faced (sorry guys - blog is in german > http://spmoshpit.de/2016/11/sharepoint-2016-onedrive-feature-pack-bug/#more-226 ) The author is not sure if it is a bug or an error based on insufficient licenses.

    I know that the new OneDrive UI is a feature for SA only but I have seen this behavior in several SP16 environments (also with SA).

    Can anybody help or experienced this error, too?

    Greetings

    Marco

    You need that. Go to https://sharepointupdates.com/Patches and filter by SharePoint Server 2016. Each month has an sts (non-locale specific) and wssloc (locale-specific) files.
