add Team Calendar to a non-Team member RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, We use Exchange Online. Each employee automatically gets a Team Calendar which is based on Departments.

where the K is a supervisor. The question: is it possible to add the Team Calendar to non-team employee from another department?

    Thank you!

  • Outlook adds these based on the manager attribute for the users. If the employee is in another department, chances are his has a different manager. But you can still add the calendar manually to Outlook, as long as he has at least "read" permissions on it.

  • Hi,

As Vasil L. Michev said, team calendar is based on each mailbox's Manager attribute: Users who has the same "Manger" attribute will be added in the Team calendar automatically:

If they want to see someone's calendar without Manager attribute, you can also give this people calendar's review/editor permission to other people: Add-MailboxFolderPermission

  • I know how does it work, my question is: is it possible to add this list of the calendars to non-reported people automatically?

No, If you want to check a non-reported mailbox, you need to add permission for this mailbox manually.

  • No, I don't need to add any permissions, because all mailboxes have already the default permissions, and it is enough to see "free/busy" calendar

  • You can change Default permission, it will effect on all users. If you just want to modify for a specific user, you can add a permission for this specific user.

  • once again: the default permission is enough to open any calendars. there is nothing to change.
