Exchange 2013 ECP: All fields are empty RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm using Exchange 2013 CU21, I'm able to login normally to ECP, all major properties are working but I can't change anything because all fields are null (empty)

Example: ECP --> Servers --> Virtual Directories --> OWA --> when trying to change OWA settings, all fields are empty in the OWA pop-up and I can't navigate OWA pop-up fields

The above is happening in all pop-ups, I used IE11 and Firefox, same results,

    Any help please?

    Thank you

  • Did you try to add exchange url to trusted sites?

Did you try to open pages at any other PC/laptop?

Do you have errors or warnings in event viewer?

  • Hi mazizeh,

To narrow down this issue, I want to confirm with you:

    1. Do you tried to login ECP with https://localhost/ecp/?ExchClientVer=15 on the computer which hosts your Exchange server?

    2. Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

You can try to recycle ECP application pool then run IISReset in CMD as an administrator.

You can also try to check logs in Event View, whether there exists some error messages about this issue.

    Regards,

    Kyle Xu

I already did this, I checked the EAC (ECP) from inside the CAS server using URL https://localhost/ecp/?ExchClientVer=15 and I got same results,

  • Hello,

I'm using NLB with two CAS servers, the 1st one is facing this problem while the 2nd one is working fine,

Both servers are identical in everything (specifications, OS, updates, Exchange version, etc.)

    What could be the problem?

  • Can you switch off the second server (which works fine), take away him from load balancer and check behaviour?

take away means completely remove it from NLB configuration, right?

I removed CAS-02 from NLB config, following are the results:

1- On https://CAS-01/ecp/?ExchClientVer=15: everything is working fine

2- On https://CAS-02/ecp/?ExchClientVer=15: same above problem (all fields are empty)

3- On https://NLB-IP/ecp/?ExchClientVer=15: same above problem (all fields are empty)

    What is happening here??!!

  • I thing the problem is on your nlb configuration or with dns names. What dns names do you have? I need each server's name, nlb name, the names which used in virtual directories and names in certificate.

    Thank you,

Now, when viewing the URL https://mydomain/ecp/?ExchClientVer=15 (which is pointing to the NLB config) from a new computer, it is working fine but i'm facing a new error which is "the request failed the request was aborted, could not create SSL/TLS secure channel"

    Any help?

  • Hi mazizeh,

I think you can try to recreate ECP virtual directory:

    1. Check setting for old VD:

    Get-EcpVirtualDirectory "ex2013\ecp (Default Web Site)"|select-object InternalUrl, ExternalUrl, BasicAuthentication,WindowsAuthentication,DigestAuthentication, FormsAuthentication

    2. Remove old VD and create a new one:

Remove-EcpVirtualDirectory -Identity "ex2013\ecp (Default Web Site)"

    New-EcpVirtualDirectory -InternalUrl "https://mail.contoso.local/ecp" -ExternalUrl “https://mail.contoso.local/ecp”

For more information, you can have a look about this article:
