Do you know some tool that populate a database with fake data in development enviroments ?

You can use Visual Studio Team System Database Edition to generate test data for databases. For details, please refer to "Overview of Generating Data" at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa833256.aspx
There are also some third party tools available, such as Sql Edit http://www.sqledit.com/dg.

Why not use Northwind samples? I guess you cant if you had specific types of information you needed.
