Save PDF from Adobe Reader back to Sharepoint document library RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have some PDF forms in a document library that users can open and save new data in the forms. But when I try to save to the document library they are not allowed to do so. I'm using WSS 3.0 and Adobe Reader 9.2. I've enabled webdav on the server and the web client service (also on the server for testing purposes), but for some reason Adobe cannot save the form.

During my investigation I've found out that when saving PDFs to sharepoint inside the company network it doesn't work (url like: "http://server:4000/site/doclib/"), but when accessing sharepoint externally say "" I'm able to find the doclib and save the document. I do have to copy and paste link to the document, and then remove the document name from the link. The same does not work inside the company network.

Are there any solutions for saving PDFs to a document library without using 3rd party software omtool and wisdompdf (any other that exist??). Omtool is useless in my  scenario as there are several (hundreds or thousands) document libraries and browsing to find the correct one is not an option.
