    hi,

    i have anable anti-spam on hub-transport server. is it good? does anti-spam on hub-transport can filter the same anti-spam on edge transport?

    It is okay if you have small environment and lower number of mail volume passing through and it works almost the same way. However you should not enable this Agent on HUB if you have Edge server in the environment.

    OK, the agents works ok but nothing is 100% protection

    Hello Samphors,

    Yes Antispam on the Hub Transport server can filter all Spam if you configured it properly.

    In E2K7 server :--

    Install the Anti Spam on the E2K7 server and configure it :-

    Content Filter, IP block list providers, Recipient Filtering & Sender filtering

    Managing Anti-Spam and Antivirus Features

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996604.aspx

     

    => And updated the AntispamUpdates

    Enable-AntispamUpdates -Identity <SERVERNAME> -IPReputationUpdatesEnabled $True -MicrosoftUpdate RequestNotifyDownload -UpdateMode Automatic -SpamSignatureUpdatesEnabled $True

    How to Configure Anti-Spam Automatic Updates

    => Restart the Transport service on E2K7 server

    => It will fix your SPAM Issues.

    Please also note that you cannot use Attachment Filter and Address Rewriting feature if you haven't an edge server.

    Configure Attachment Filtering
    Planning for Address Rewriting
    And if you haven't any SMTP proxy server to receive Internet mails, you put the Hub server on an unsafe situation.
