Office 365 account login issue RRS feed

  • When I registered for Office 365 I used @outlook.com email address, but now when I try to login to my Office 365 account using my email ID which is urbantimer@outlook.com it gives me the following message:

    outlook.com isn't in our system

    Make sure you typed your email address correctly. It usually looks like someone@example.com or someone@example.onmicrosoft.com

  • Thanks for you response Winnie. Problem Solved. I was able to login using the same email and password at office.com. Previously, I was trying https://login.microsoftonline.com and https://outlook.office365.com to login to my Office 365 account and it wasn't working.

    Are you using your Microsoft Account (outlook.com) also as your Office 365 Account which is used to log into your mailbox (either in Outlook or in webmail) and other Office 365 services? Generally, the Office 365 account is an email address and a password which might be your primary email address, or be (yourname)@(business).onmicrosoft.com.

    If both your Microsoft account and Office 365 account is using urbantimer@outlook.com email address, please confirm if the password for it is different for Office 365 and Outlook.com. Please notice that they are different accounts. Make sure you are using the correct password for different account types login.

    Glad that the issue has been resolved :-)

    Since you can logon your Office 365 account in office.com/myaccount, it means that your Office 365 account is the personal Microsoft account which is associated with your personal copy of Office. It is generally used for Office for Home plan.

    The URL you failed to login previously, it is the Work or school account which is usually used for Office for Business plan.
