windows server 2012 R2 over on wIndows 10 OS RRS feed

  • Question

  • I accidentally installed Windows Server 2012 R2 onto the hard drive, so it has replaced my Windows 10 OS. How do I recover or restore Windows 10 since I can't access system restore or recovery on Windows Server 2012 R2? I only see the command line C: user\Administrator>. I'm trying not to panic but I am thoroughly scared I may have lost Windows 10 completely. Thank you for any help.

  • Hi Ashenafi Ashebo,

Don’t be afraid. You could reinstall Windows 10 on your device. Using a Windows 10 DVD or Windows 10 ISO image is available to install Windows 10 on your computer, further more there is no need to activate it again if you have activated before.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Moderator,

We are facing the same problem but do not have internet on that server. How can we do this without any network on the newly installed Win 10 2012 R2

  •   Download the installation media to another computer, then put it on either a DVD or USB drive.
