Hello. I have a new PC and will be installing my copy of Office 2010 on it. My issue is not with licensing (I will uninstall on the old and reinstall on the new), but on all the customizations that I have done, like the ribbon in Word, Excel and Outlook.
It's not clear to me how to move these settings and not have to start all over again.
Within the Options for an application such as Word (File > Options) select the Customise Ribbon option.
Within this page there is an Import\Export feature which allows you to Export the ribbon customisations, and on your next install Import them back in.
I do not know if this is application specific and you would need to repeat for Excel, PowerPoint, etc or if by doing it in one application it is capturing all customisations across the Office suite, but hey, it's better than nothing!
