Implementation of Skype watcher node RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

I am configuring Watcher node in my environment for Skype for business. So I want to ask that when we are adding Watcher node as trusted application, do we strictly need to use 5061 port or we can use any port?

    I am talking about <g class="gr_ gr_294 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim gr_inline_cards Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="294" id="294">following</g> cmdlet when we add watcher node as trusted application:

New-CsTrustedApplication –ApplicationId “XXXXXXXXXX” -TrustedApplicationPoolFqdn “XXXXXXXXXXX” -Port 5061

  • Hi Neel,

By my research, we must use port 5061 when we configure watch node in Skype for business, you could refer to the following link to configure it:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt169383.aspx

  • Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I used 5061 port as FE listens on 5061 port and everything is working fine. I am getting alerts in SCOM.

  • Hi Neel,

Are there any issues in organization about SFB watcher node?

If not, you could ignore this alert. Or post entire error information to us for troubleshooting.
