Recover deleted item in owa 2007

    Can i recover  "hard deleted" (Shift+delete)  item  from inbox  in owa 2007

    After some research, I do not find any methods to recover hard deleted messages from Inbox by using OWA 2007. Nevertheless, I suggest that you can recover the messages by using Outlook:


    Login to a Windows XP client by this user account and use the following steps to enable the Dumpster on this Windows XP client and then use the

    Recover Deleted Item function to recover these deleted Items.


    1. Login to this user’s client by administrator account.

    2. Click Start->Run and type regedit, then press Enter.

    3. In Register Editor, navigate to:



    4. Then On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:


    Value name: DumpsterAlwaysOn

    Data type: DWORD

    Value data: 1


    5. Quit Registry Editor and log off account.

    6. Let this user login to this client and open the Outlook with his Outlook profile.

    7. Let him choose the Inbox folder and choose the menu Tools->Recover Deleted Items

    8. Then he can choose the deleted items which he want to recover and click the recover button to recover them.

  • Hi All,


    I tried all the above solutions but not able to recover the hard deleted item. Even, I tried the below command:


    When I type this command on my Explorer, it forwards me to my Inbox and not the recently deleted items.

    I checked the deleted items in options but it is also empty.

    Can anybody help me in this.

  • Actually I have deleted from Deleted Items also and thats why it is not showing any thing through the cmd:



    Is thr any other way to retrive that item....

    Actually, I have forwarded that item to my gmail id and after forwarding I deleted it but that item failed to forward specifying:

    Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:


    Is there any way to retrieve that item.

  • For Exchange 2007 OWA:
    1. Login to Outlook Web Access(OWA)

    2. Click “Options”

    3. Click “Deleted Items” -> select the email -> click “Recover to Deleted Items Folder”
