  • Hello rajanish1,

I'm not sure what steps you followd but here is a step by step guide to changing ADDS domain name (which BTW should be done only when extremely necessary).

    http://www.rebeladmin.com/2015/05/step-by-step-guide-to-rename-active-directory-domain-name/

Make sure your workstations have been restarted and are using the new domain and then run random /clean command.

Check and post output of dcdiag /test:dns

  • Hi,
Do you have only one forest, one domain, one site and one domain controller in this domain?

Do you rename domain name on this domain controller or domain member server?

I suggest we try the same steps in the link abvoe to see if it helps.

  • Hi,
I recommend we rename domain name on a domain member server.

We can see detailed description on the links above.

Set up a domain member server in the forest which is NOT a domain controller (DC) as the administrative Control Station where the entire domain renaming process will be done. If your AD is simple, i.e. has only one DC, you may skip this step (at your own risk) and perform the rest of the rename domain operations directly on the DC itself.

    Or

Once your infrastructure is ready, to perform the rename process we need an administrative computer or server. It must be a member of domain and should not a DC. It must have “Remote Server Administration Tools” installed.
