Email Gets Classified as "SPAM" RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    HI All,

Few users in the company get the following error in a random manner. Assuming the recipient is abc@xyz.com.. The affected user is able to send an email yesterday to abc@xyz.com . Today morning email to abc@xyz.com was classified as spam. But again few hours later when the affected user sent an email to abc@xyz.com the email went through. This is happens often in a random manner.

    Please help.

  • Hi,

Did the issue narrow down to one specific sender or one recipient? Or the message sent by this affected user would be marked as Spam by all recipients not only abc@xyz.com? I noticed that the issue occurred randomly. It would be difficult to determine which is the root cause for random issue.

Please check the items which are marked as Spam in receiver side, confirm if there is any special difference (such as internet hyperlink inserted, any attachments involved etc.) from the normal message. Also confirm if there is any third-party mail scan or anti-spam programs installed in client side, disable them to have a try.

Additionally, if the issue only happens to one specific sender to one specific receiver, I suggest the receiver can consider to add this sender to safe list in Outlook Junk Email options.

  • Dear Winnie,

Thanks for responding. The issue occurs for more than one user and more than one recipient  but not all. The recipients are random too. Yesterday abc@xyz.com would receive but today cannot. and tomorrow can receive again. The recipient has already added the affected users email id in safe list

Please let me know if anything else can be done.

    Thanks and regards,

    Jeffray
