Access Image Gallery Image Deletion RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to delete over 300 images from the Access 2016 Image Gallery. I know that if I right click on one, I can delete that image. How do I batch delete all of them? Thanks

  • Hi,

As far as I know, Access displays all shared images in the current database in the Image Gallery. Usually, you can manually delete them one by one.

If you want to completely remove all shared pictures in the database, or ones whose name matches a certain pattern you can do something like this:

    Sub PurgeSharedImages(Optional strPattern As String = "*")
      Dim i As Integer

      For i = CurrentProject.Resources.Count - 1 To 0 Step -1
        If CurrentProject.Resources(i).Type = 1 And CurrentProject.Resources(i).Name Like strPattern Then
          CurrentProject.Resources(i).Delete
        End If
      Next i
    End Sub

In addition, I also suggest you ask questions at Access for Developers Forum. You may get more helpful replies there.

If you have any updates, feel free to post back to tell us.

    Best Regards,

    Herb
