Exchange Lab Configure Mobile Connection

Question
-
Hi Everyone,
I have setup an exchange test lab, now that I configure the internal mail flow are all working fine.
Is there a way to test mobile configuration? or I must purchase a domain name inorder to do such test?
Much appreciate any input on this.
Thanks.

Hi min77,
Yes, let the mobile devices access your home WiFi. It's better that installing a CA to issue a certificate in your Exchange server, and export the certificate and install it on the mobile devices.
With my research, there's no official guidance documents about deploying Exchange mobile test. Exchange ActiveSync lets mobile device access Exchange server, for more information about it, you could refer to the following article.

Hello
tip:
if not want to use autodiscovery, only enough manuall add server name in phone, you can use any free dns /providers, tools/ and publish 443 activesync on your router /IF your IPs allow publishing port../
or if enough in home testing, on home router, set lab dc to additional dns server and connect phone to wifi and if not add existing public domain in lab, the phone need to read autodiscover and exch url from lab dns server.
sorry my english

Hi min777,
According to your requirement, there are two points you need to deploy:
1.An available wireless network in your test lab for the mobile devices access.
2. install a CA to issue a certificate in your Exchange server, export the certificate and install it on the mobile devices.
Here is a similar thread in the forum, for your references:

Hi Kelvin,
1. I have a home wifi router, is that good enough to setup the test environment?
2. is there a guideline for this?
Thanks.
