  • Hi,

What's the message type? Inbound or Outbound?

I understand that the messages have Excel/Word attachments, which containing Xml data. The attachments are removed.

1.Attachment filtering could filter attachments based on file name, file name extension, or MIME content type. Please run the following command on Edge server to view and find attachment filtering entries. You could upload the output to our mailbox: ibsexc@microsoft.com

    Get-AttachmentFilterEntry | Format-Table -Auto Type,Name

    Get-AttachmentFilterEntry ContentType:<MIMEContentType>

2.To detect if the issue is caused by attachment filter, try to temporarily disable the Attachment Filtering agent with the cmdlet below, then restart the Microsoft Exchange Transport service on an Edge Transport server, observe if the issue still occurs.

    Disable-TransportAgent "Attachment Filtering Agent"

3.Access EAC, and check is there any mail flow rules set to reomove the attachments.
