Playing MP4 (h.264) on iPhone or iPad from SharePoint

  • iPad/iPhone does not support Flash.  Are you sure that the video is played using the HTML5 player and not a Flash Player when rendered on all your devices/browsers?

I used the JWPlayer which supports both HTML5 and Flash for a website, which worked well on Apple devices.  However my website was a simple ASP.NET site (no SharePoint involved)

What is the exact behavior you are getting on iPhone/iPad?  Does the Player is shown?

    Thanks & Regards,

  • Hi Kamlesh - I'm pretty sure it's using html 5 since at one point I removed all the flash reference from the flash fallback and left only HTML5 markup. Still, it doesn't play the video.

on iPhone, it shows that it's a video file but crossed out as if it cannot be played.
