How to upgrade office 2003 to office 2010

  • Dear all,

    We are going to do an upgrade for our office from 2003 to 2010, we got XP SP2 clients. We are planning to do the upgrade throw SCCM 2007. Can anyone please advice me to how to do the upgrade and what is the best way.

  • Hi,

    In your case, you cannot upgrade from 2003 to 2010, since you are using XP SP2.

    2010 requires XP to have atleast SP3, So your 1st task is to upgrade XP from SP2 to SP3, then later think of upgrading Office.

  • Office 2010 is found to be compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1, and Windows XP SP3 on both 32-bit Office 2010 and 64-bit Office 2010, except for Windows Server 2003 R2 with MSXML 6.0, which is only compatible with 32-bit Office 2010.
