Excel Not allowing object linking and embedding

    Question

  • When I launch Excel 2016 an error message shows that I "cannot use object linking and embedding". I am running Office 365 on Windows 10 computer.

When this error message shows up, i cannot copy or paste in the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is not protected, i was the author of the spreadsheet on another computer also running Office 365 (Excel 2016)  My subscription has been activated, the Excel version is 16.0.6326.1022 32-bit

    This is real frustrating.

Can anyone help with this issue.

    Much appreciated. Thanks

Based on your error message, first I suggest you check if it works fine in safe mode. Please try to disable add-ins and try to open Excel file again.
