Problem with installing Visio 2013 and Office 2013 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)

  • I installed the Office Professional Pro 2013 product.  I then tried to install Visio 2013 and got an error message saying I can't 'upgrade' from 2013 to 2013.

Is there a way to get past this 'family' conflict to allow me to have Office and Visio plus Project?

  • Hi,

are you trying to install some Preview and some RTM in combination on the same machine?

  • Hello!

I have the same problem. I first had Office Preview 2013 and now I am trying to install Vision 2013 (Preview). First I had problems with Office 15 click to run extensibility component. I removed it but now I get the same error: MS Office 2013 does not support upgrading from a preview version of MS Office 2013. You must first uninstall these preview versions of MS Office 2013 products and associated technologies: (empty). It does not say which products and associated technologies I should uninstall. I would like to keep my MS Office 2013 preview because I use it and I like it.

  • Same problem over here. I'm currently using Office Preview 2013 and i'm trying to install Visio and Project 2013 but i can't because of this Office 15 click to run thing. I also tried to remove it but didn't work.

    Any solutions?

  • If you want to remove Office Preview 2013 try this.  I am in the same boat, but I'm looking for a solution which would allow me to have the Preview and Visio 2013.  I think the solution is to wait for RTM, uninstall preview and buy Office 2013.
