I am creating a Business data connectivity through Visual Studio 2010 and in this when i am trying to connect a SQL Server database i.e tools --> Connect to database -> filling details like server name and database name .After clicking
on ok it is giving the error like "Login Failed : The login is from untrusted domain and cannot be used with windows authentication "
One thing is that database is on different machine and i am using VS2010 on different machine .I have one user who has acess onto the database but i am not getting also from where to pass the credentials of the user to the database conenction .
Please help me out .

The easiest way to do this in SharePoint 2010 is by configuring the Secure Store service and setting up a group credential. You can then securely store the userid and password you want to use in Secure Store and have anyone accessing the BDC model
use those credentials based on being a member of an AD group. Read the article below for info on how to configure secure store.
