How to always show emails addresses in the To: field in new emails? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    In Outlook, when I type the name of a person it autocomplete and the the First and Lastname are shown with and

    underline. Example: Jhon Doe;


    How can I make Outlook that always shows the First and Last name and also the email address?

    Example: Jhon Doe <>;

  • Hi,

    For addresses that you have typed and resolved via your Address Book, the display name for that address as you have configured it in your Contacts folder is used. For cached addresses (for instance upon replying),
    AutoSuggest uses the display name as configured by the sender. So I think you may go to the contacts folder and change the display name to their name and email. Maybe you can use VBA script to achieve this function.

    By "Contacts Folder", you mean this?

    Outlook -> Go Menu -> Folder list -> Contacts ?


    Also, Is this feature not an option in Outlook? I can not do it with VBA :(
