  • Hi,

Did you check the blog above?

Please make sure you are using the latest version of Outlook for mobile, and Office 365 users are using Microsoft sync technology for Outlook mobile.

For how to determine if you are using the Microsoft sync technology for Outlook mobile:

    1.  Go to Settings and select your Office 365 account. There will be a notation "Microsoft sync technology" at the bottom of this screen if you are using the Microsoft sync technology.

    2.  You can use the following command to check which data sync protocol Outlook for iOS and Android clients are utilizing:

    Get-MobileDevice | where {$_.DeviceModel -eq "Outlook for iOS and Android"} | Format-List FriendlyName,DeviceID,DeviceOS,ClientType

The ClientType property indicates which data sync protocol is in use. If the value is REST, then the client is utilizing the REST API. If the value is Outlook, then the client is using the native Microsoft sync technology.

Additionally, this document may help you learn more about Native Microsoft sync technology migration

  • I didn't find any documentation for the same, it was not supported for outlook over MAC, so I think it might not be supported for other mail client on the mobile phone as well.

Have you tried the same using outlook over android or OWA via the mobile device?

  • Hi,

Does the moderator use Outlook for mobile or the built-in mail app?

Do you mean when the moderator receive the approval requested message, he cannot see "Approve" and "Reject" options in the message from mobile phone?

If so, as an on-premise moderator, you cannot approve the message from Outlook for mobile. You should use OWA or Outlook to approve messages.

For Office 365 moderator, Actionable Messages in Outlook for mobile may help you approve requests. However, Outlook mobile will support Actionable Messages for Office 365 users who are using the Microsoft sync technology. You can check this for more details: Actionable Messages in Outlook mobile help you act fast on the go
