Multiple downloads from e-mail providers to Microsoft Outlook 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Only way I have found to keep those multiple copies from downloading is to flush your provider a few times a day, which is easier then going through your Inbox searching to delete the culprits.

  • Hi,

Are you using a POP3 account in Outlook? This issue may occur if you have Outlook 2016 version 16.0.6568.2025 configured to use POP3, and if you have the Leave a copy of messages on the Server option enabled. See:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/3145116

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in above article when the information becomes available.

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:

Method 1: Use IMAP instead of POP3

Method 2: Revert to an earlier version of Office 2016

If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.

  • I am using IMAP and have the same issue. I am literally getting hundreds of duplicated emails each day. It is driving me insane.

How is there no solution to this?!
