Sharepoint workspace asks for username password for every file

    We are a small charity organisation and work with a lot of external volunteers. We have setup Sharepoint 2010 on Windows 2008 R2 with all the updates in the hope of easily sharing all documents with others and so on. The problem is that sharepoint workspace asks for username and password for every single file we open. I think the problem is that these people's machines are not part of the domain.

    Is there anything we can do to get workspace to remember the username and password without requiring the computers to join the domain? Otherwise we wont be able to use sharepoint (web version alone isnt enough).
