  • Question

  • I create two lists: Customer and Order.

In Order list, I setup a Customer ID as a lookup field to reference to Customer list.

How to setup another field Customer Name which will display the corresponding customer name from Customer list ?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Joe,

Whether the customer name column from Customer list is a People and Group type of column?

If that’s the issue, the People and Group column cannot be selected in Lookup column additional fields.

As a workaround, I recommend you create a new single line of text column in the Customer list, and use workflow to update this column with relevant customer name column as following:

Start this workflow when the item is created:

Finally, in the Order list, create a lookup column which get information from customer list ID column, and select newly customer name column  as additional filed.
