Sharepoint 2013 - How to make the user's MySite the first page the user will see after login RRS feed

  • Question

  • After a user logs in they reach the default.aspx by default.

Instead we'd like them to reach their MySite page, which is at:-

    https://<account>.sharepoint.com/personal/<user>_<account domain>/_layouts/15/start.aspx#/Social/Sites.aspx

    - is this possible?

The main reason for this is so users reach a page they feel is their own, that they can customise, but on which we can provide promoted site tiles to the key department sites, like HR, etc.

    thanks in advance

Answers

  • I will suggest you can add one content editor web part to default.aspx, and on document.ready or window.onload write a logic to get current users login name and accordingly create the hyperlink for his/her mysite page and use window.location to redirect that user to mysite page.

hope this will resolve your problem.
