Icon Size in Quick Access toolbar...

    Question

  • I like the ability to add new icons to the Quick Access bar, and I keep same below the ribbon.

That said, is there a way to enlarge the icons used in the Quick Access bar....at my age they're ALL awfully teensy eh!

    ???

  • Either pull the screen towards you or increase the DPI settings on your display. There doesn't seem to be any other way to do it.

  • Increasing the DPI Setting works well in Windows 7 but can be a bit hit and miss in Windows XP, particularly with web pages in Internet Explorer.

  • I agree! I have my glasses on and still find these tiny, winy icons too small and I don't want to give up screen real estate by reducing display resolution. Doesn't Microsoft provide responses on this forum?

  • Microsoft rarely provide any responses in these forums. They are for "community support".

I'm 50 and my eyesight is weakening so I sympathise. Talk to your optician and ask about getting a special prescription for use with your computer. Here in the UK, your employer has to pay for sight tests if you work with a computer and may also contribute to the cost of glasses if they are required for your work.
