  • Have you received/sent the message ever before? Does this issue start suddenly?

If not, I suggest we go to official website to double check the account setting.

  • This NDR would appear to claim something about your username/password is being rejected while sending.  I find it interesting that your using a "relay" setting rather than SMTP.  The error states Relaying is denied, which is actually quite common, where your client should be sending via SMTP (or SMTPS).

This article shows for subscription users to set up as outlined.

    • Incoming Mail Server pop.mail.yahoo.com
    • Outgoing Mail Server smtp.mail.yahoo.com

    Good luck!

  • 550 5.7.1 <alias @ domain >... Relaying denied. Proper authentication required.

This means you are not properly authenticating with the outgoing mail server.

The SMTP server details are as follows:

    Outgoing Server – smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Port – 465 or 587 (requires SSL/TLS or Auto)
    Username: full Yahoo! email address
    Password: your Yahoo! password

After checking the port number on the Advanced tab, switch to Outgoing server tab and set Outlook to use the same as incoming server.  (both tab as under more setting - Tools, email accounts, view or change existing accounts, double click on the yahoo account, then More Settings button)
