  • I need to generate a report of top users with names for sharepoint online/o365 search. Has anyone done it before. Please let me know

    In SharePoint online, you can get reports from UI and PowerShell commands.

    These are all reports that can be provided in SharePoint online.

    You also could get the reports by PowerShell command in office 365. For more detailed information, you could refer to the article below.

  • It doesn't give me any information of which users are using search extensively. I need to know their names. It just gives me information on number of hits queries performed etc..

  • Hi Naveen K Karla,

    You could go to office 365 admin center, click reports, click usage, then select one report to display.

    For SharePoint online, you could select SharePoint activity. Then there are chart and table to display names of the active users and number of viewing and editing the file.  And you can sort or filter on the columns in table.

    Thanks for the inputs. This will be helpful but i'm looking more of sharepoint search related activity not regular site activity. Is there anyway we can get search usage of user from sharepoint online.
