Effects and Transitions missing in Windows Movie Maker RRS feed

  • Question

  •

Anyone having a problem with the Effects and Transitions missing from Windows Movie Maker?  There are normally quite a few listed (checkerboard, etc) but now there are only two available when logged on as a standard user.  However, when logging on as a local administrator or a domain user with local admin privileges, all of the available transitions and effects reappear!

Please let us know if this is related to IE7 or something else, as it did not occur when we were on an IE6 platform domain-wide.

    Thank you!

  • Quite an old post. It was a Laxmark printing program installed that was blocking the transitions. We got rid of it long ago and it was perfect. I will mark this as the solution because it was never closed.

  • We also have the same problem.

Our problem occurs with Windows XP SP2 installed into 51 schools and logged with a normal account, no one are avalaible. Logged with my own account, all of them reappear because i'm local admin of each computers. Some peoples told me that this problem was not there if you were updated to SP3 of Windows XP. I personnaly tried to update one of the computers with SP3 but it didn't changed anything.

Maybe your problem will be corrected if you upgrade to Vista SP1 ? I don't really know. I our case, we are going to try something else after the weekend. This program is used by students in all of the 51 schools...
