Choosing the Installation Directory with One-Click Office2013ProPlus

  • My C:\ drive is a small SSD drive that I only install important things such as the Operating System to. I do NOT want to install Office on the SSD drive, but instead on the regular HDD, D:\ drive.

I just purchased Office2013 Pro Plus through for $10 and it gives me a One-Click installer. It doesn't let me choose the install path, or pick which office programs/components I want it to install.

Is there a way to specify the installation directory so that I can install it to D:\Program Files\Office2013\?

Surely they wouldn't remove such basic, yet necessary functionality.. Does anyone know how to do this?

  • Turns out you CAN'T choose the install path with the One-Click installer.. I will definitely be moving away from Microsoft if they can't even give me the basic features that previous versions had..

However, I believe if I download the evaluation version, it will let me choose the install dir and then I can manually activate it at the end.

I'll let you know if it works.

UPDATE: It works! My recommendation would be to avoid the One-Click installers and use the full-featured evaluation one from the link above. If for some reason Microsoft deactivates that link, you can visit the eval page and request a copy for yourself:

You'll just need to fill out the forms and use the download manager, but it should be the full install. Just use your license key instead of the evaluation one they give you.

I find it pretty silly that the evaluation version has more features than the full version they gave me.

    Thanks Microshaft!
