Lync mobile not displaying name of contacts? RRS feed

    Maybe it’s a limitation with the mobile client.

    It can be reproduced with the Skype for Business for iOS client in a Skype for Business Server 2015 deployment.

    In my opinion, it seems that the user information within the contact card only can be generated from the Lync Address Book. (With the desktop client, the client aggregates the contact card data from multiple sources, e.g. Outlook/SharePoint ). Although you added the Outlook contact into your contact list, but the mobile client can only read the necessary information (Displayname)with the Contact.

     (The"Displayname" is not equal the Contact's name.)

  • I can not swear on it but I´m pretty sure that it worked under Lync 2013 mobile client.

    It looks like that the mobile client reads the contact from Outlook Contacts but then syncs it back to "Skype for business contacts" folder under Outlook contacts but only with the number.
