Display multiple content types on calendar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good Day,

I have a calendar that has 3 custom content types on it.  The first one is displaying fine on the calendar, but the other two do not display at all on the calendar view.  If I go into the all events view they are listed there.  Any suggestions on how to get them on the calendar view?

    Thank you,
    Hyde

  • Hi Hyde_311,

From your description, the items used custom content types are not displayed in the calendar view.

It is the by designer behavior, the calendar view is the most relevant view type for a SharePoint event list or any that contains a date field.  If you choose the “Start Time” for Begin and “End Time” for End, only the items which contains “Start Time” and “End Time” will be displayed on the calendar view.

Eg: If you add “Item” content type in the calendar list, when you create an item based on “item” content type, it will not be displayed on the calendar view, to make the item based on “item” content type be displayed on the calendar view, add “Strat Time” and “End Time” columns in “Item” content type.

  • Thank you for the reply.  It ended up being an issue with the content type migrating from a lower environment.  Basically the list and content moved, but the content type didn't.

    Have a great day,
    Hyde
